Worship With Us
The Allwood Community Church congregation welcomes all to join us for worship at 10:30 a.m. We are an open, inclusive congregation with strong ties to our community origin. Worship format is Protestant in tradition; scripture is taken seriously; and preaching seeks to bring the good news of the Gospel into modern lives by blending the view of contemporary authors with the ancient voice. There is a time for children to participate each week. The sacrament of Holy Communion is celebrated on the first Sunday of each month and all are welcome to join us at the Lord’s table.
In addition to our weekly Sunday worship, the congregation worships together on Ash Wednesday and throughout Holy Week, including a Seder Supper and services on Good Friday. There are celebrations on Easter at sunrise and a candlelight service on Christmas Eve; a church birthday celebration for Pentecost, and a community interfaith service of worship at Thanksgiving.
